Is this a sheepdog or a border collie? When we were in the Lakes District, all the farms had the black and white border collies to round up the sheep from the hilly farm country. It's really amazing the way these dogs respond to different whistles from their masters who from down below can see the full scene and tell the dogs where the wayward sheep are located.
My understanding is that in general, it's a sheepdog, and specifically, it's a border collie. I guess just like there's a lot of different kinds of hounds, there are many different sheepdogs.
